It’s important that we don’t let our minds become run-away thought generators, but that we instead pay conscious attention to our thoughts, choosing to actively eliminate those that don’t serve us toward the health reality we want to create and bringing to the forefront those that are congruent with the health reality we want.
Many people think that their life is defined by the ‘big’ items of life, and certainly these things do affect our life. But the truth that so few seem to grasp is that the bulk of the reality of our lives is created by the small, seemingly insignificant actions that we take on a day to day basis. There is nowhere this is more clearly seen than with our health. We so often hear, “Just this once won’t hurt” or “Every now and then this is fine;” or “It’s about the 80 / 20 rule.” And these are certainly true for a healthy lifestyle, but many underestimate the ‘every now and thens’ of their actions. The key with the “DOing” aspect of this is to get clear on what health reality you want (your BEing), think thoughts that align with that (your THINKing) and choose to consistently take the actions that create a healthy vibrant body.
